Xiong Honggang, born in 1959 in Changshun , Guizhou , graduated from Chinese Painting Major, Art Department , Guizhou Academy of National Minorities in 1988. He finished his study in Longrui Advanced Research Class of Academy of Chinese Painting in 2004. Now he is a member of China Artists Association, a member of China Printmakers Association, a professional artist of Guizhou Academy of Chinese Painting and the general secretary of Chinese Painting Artists Committee of Guizhou.
　　 His works have been selected to the 7 th , 8 th and 9 th , National Artworks Exhibitions, the 2 nd Chinese Painting Exhibition, 2003 Chinese Ink Painting Achievements Exhibition Oriental Charm and have won a bronze prize in the 3 rd National Landscape Painting Exhibition. His painting style is flexible, clear, peaceful and quiet, with dense pastoral poetry, and shows strong traditional competence, complicated but not boring, simple but not empty, dense but airy, quietly elegant but thick. He is one of the most brilliant landscape artists in China contemporary art filed.
