Wang Xiaohui graduated from Art Department of Hebei Academy of Light Industry (present Hebei University of Technology) in 1982; graduated from China Institute of Fine Arts in1989; finished his advanced postgraduate lessons on Chinese figure painting in China Institute of Fine Arts in1993 and got his master's degree in China Institute of Fine Arts in1997. He had been studied under the supervision of many famous professors like Liu Guohui, Feng Yuan, Pan Gongkai, Wu Shanming, Song Zhongyuan, etc. Now he is an associate professor of Chinese Painting Department of China Central Institute of Fine Art . His works have won the gold prize in national arts exhibition Justice and Peace ; have attended many national academic exhibitions and were selected to Collected Works of China Contemporary Artists, the Collection of Chinese Painting within 100 Years. He has held ink painting sketching tours for three times and has published Ink Painting Portrait, Exhibition of Wang Xiaohui's Chinese Painting Works, Wang Xiaohui's Collection of Freehand Brushwork in Traditional Chinese Figure Painting. His works have been published in many arts periodical as Fine Arts, Jiangsu Illustrated Periodical, Art Field, Artists, Chinese Painting Artists, Chinese Painting Study, Art of Contemporary Academy, Art Condition, Chinese Painting, etc. His works have been collected by art institutes and private collectors home and abroad. In 2003, he attended Oriental Charm hosted by Ministry of Culture and Chinese Painting Research Institute.
