Wang Weizhong was born in 1962 in Suzhou . He worked as an artistic editor in Suzhou Daily in 1979. In 1984 he was admitted to Art Department of Nanjing Arts College and graduated in 1988, getting his bachelor's degree. During that period, he took part in many activities, such as China Modern Arts Weekly Exhibition, Exhibitions for Chinese artists to Taiwan and Singapore , and the 60 th anniversary of Army Birth Day, etc. During 1988-1991,he was a teacher in Art Teaching Research Section of East China Technical Institute. In 1991, he was transferred to Jiangsu Arts Press. Then he went to Dunhuang and organized and edited 30 volumes large literature albums Dunhuang Grottoes Art . His works have been given special introduction by some professional magazines like Arts, Fine Arts in China , Arts Park, Jiangsu Illustrated Periodical, Art of Sketches , etc. He has published Wang Weizhong Rough Sketches , and has cooperated with Mr. Ding Shaoguang in painting some monumental works. Now he is a famous artist traveling in America .
