Liu Qinghe, born in Tianjin , was admitted to Tianjin Arts and Crafts College in 1978, graduated from Folk Art Department of China Central Institute of Fine Arts, and got his master's degree while graduating from Chinese Painting Department of China Central Institute of Fine Arts. Now he is an associate professor of Chinese Painting Department of China Central Institute of Fine Arts, one of the most important representative figures of modern ink paintings.
